Sarah R. Ziomek

Sarah Ziomek graduated from The University of Central Florida at Orlando with a B.A. in Legal Studies in 1992 and worked as a paralegal before attending law school in 1999. She earned her Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from New England School of Law in 2002. She was honored with a Distinguished Service Award from the law school faculty and was a member of the New England Law Review.

For over ten years, Sarah has litigated matters of insurance law, civil law and criminal defense. She began her legal career in New Orleans, Louisiana and worked as an insurance defense and civil litigation attorney at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr and Smith. After Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005, she and her husband relocated to Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Sarah was admitted to practice by the North Carolina State Bar in 2006. She continues to practice in all areas of civil litigation, general litigation, contract disputes and criminal law.

Allyson Shroyer

Allyson began her legal career in Louisiana in 1998, after graduating from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert, school of law. For the first three years of her practice she worked as a law clerk for a District Court Judge in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Thereafter, she enjoyed a successful appellate practice. Before relocating to North Carolina, she spent the last few years of her practice in the areas of personal injury, family law, and environmental litigation at the firm of Talbot, Carmouche, and Marcello. Ms. Shroyer still consults on Louisiana environmental litigation for her former firm.

In 2005, Ms. Shroyer relocated to Rutherfordton, where she began a mediation practice, Blue Ridge Mediation Services, LLC. Certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission, Ms. Shroyer offered private and court ordered mediation services for family financial, custody and superior court cases. Ms. Shroyer still offeres private and court ordered mediation services for family financial matters.

Ms. Shroyer was admitted to practice law in North Carolina in September of 2012. She and Ms. Ziomek formed the firm in October 2012.
